ATTENTION: New Changes to ACLS Training 2018

Effective January 2018, the Department of Perioperative Medicine (DPM) will transition to ACLS Online Training. Please note that the traditional classroom courses have been discontinued.

It is the responsibility of each Department/Institute to purchase Key Codes directly from the vendor for their staff, and issue each student his/her Code only after he/she has secured a Skills Session with confirmation email via Class Track.

  2. Skills Session Testing
    Log-in here to schedule your Skills Session to be held in DPM. Hands-on skills testing will include Heart Code, CPR, and Mega Code, and is approximately 3 hours long. You must bring your online completion certificate to the Skills Session to participate. You will be issued an ACLS e-card upon successful completion. There is no tuition fee for the Skills Session. Space is limited and fills up quickly.

Target Audience

This course is LIMITED TO NIH EMPLOYEES WHO PROVIDE DIRECT PATIENT CARE AT THE CLINICAL CENTER.

Pre-requisites

Must present on the day of class: 1) Current BLS certification 2) Online ACLS completion certificate

Additional Information

The student is expected to have the knowledge and understanding of ECG rhythms, arrhythmia, and correctly apply the appropriate treatment recommendation based on the algorithms. Teaching is focused on group interaction where case scenarios are presented. Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) is expected and a current certification is required prior to participating in this course.
